Bio of a language lover
Jessica R. Greene wrangles words on the west central Florida coast. She writes commercial copy for corporate clients, produces résumés for job seekers, edits manuscripts for publishers, and provides authors with query letters, synopses, and other forms of promotional material. She's assisted organizations and individuals with grant proposal research and applications, and has produced business plans and profiles for entrepreneurs. She freelances on topics pertaining to health and wellness and vowed to publish - beyond cyberspace - one day. Soon.
This has come true in August 2014 with the publication of Eating Disorders: The Ultimate Teen Guide, Book #39 in the series, It Happened To Me (Scarecrow Press, an imprint of Rowman and Littlefield).
She's a graduate of Oberlin College and the University of Virgina, and has nurtured a love of words through honest means. She at last recognized her true talent and the benefits she could provide to others - the ability to use good language skills to express sound thoughts in a clear and precise manner. She now helps all sorts of folks write what they need to say.
She spends the majority of her pro bono hours at WMNF 88.5FM Community Radio, where she formerly administered the public service announcements for the Community Bulletin Board. She now operates the sound board during midday public affairs broadcasting (Wednesdays), helps maintain the music library, assists with on-air "fun"draising and membership tracking. She wishes she did not need sleep.
